Here is a copy of the Public Notice that appeared in this week’s local press regarding the intended granting of a lease of land in Cheam Park, namely the depot and open storage area that forms part of the open space at Cheam Park, Tudor Close Cheam SM3 2JG
Similar notices were posted for Manor Park, Sutton and Oaks Park, Banstead.

Readers may be interested to learn that the Council has recently agreed to appoint The Landscape Group (TLG) as their Preferred Bidder for ‘Lot 2’ services. This covers parks, cemeteries and grounds maintenance.
As part of the tender invitation, bidders were offered a number of sites within each borough to lease, and TLG have confirmed that they wish to lease the depots in several areas in Sutton.
These sites are classed as open space and the Council says it is required by statute to publically advertise its intention to ‘dispose’ of the properties via leases with the use of a Statutory Notice. We are nicely reminded that this does not mean that the Council is selling the sites – it is purely the legal wording required. We can expect to see these Notices appear in the local press this week and next week. (more…)
