Important Message from Cheam Safer Neighbourhood Team

Birds shot in Onslow Avenue.  Police are investigating reports of birds being found in gardens in Onslow Avenue, Cheam, after being shot by an air weapon.

We want residents to come forward if they have found birds or other animals dead or injured.

Also, please tell us if you have any information about who may be responsible. The culprit using an air weapon, possibly an air rifle, could live in The Dene or other nearby roads and maybe taking aim from an upstairs window.

Under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, it is an offence to intentionally or recklessly injure or kill any wild bird.
